Meghan Markle Unveils a Photo of Daughter Lilibet

Around four years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from their royal responsibilities. However, the public has continued to be intrigued by the precise motives behind this move, which has had a significant impact on their ties with the royal family. According to the couple, one of the reasons was their desire to escape the public eye.

Nevertheless, this explanation didn’t convince the general public. In the United States, both Harry and Meghan have continued to seek media attention. They have given interviews, released a book, and even embarked on tours that bear similarities to official royal outings.

Despite their continued presence in the spotlight, they have made efforts to shield their children from the media. In fact, Harry’s relationship with the media has always been complicated. He holds the belief that the media, particularly the paparazzi, drove his mother, Princess Diana, to her tragic death.

When Archie was born, Harry was initially reluctant to disclose details about the birth. However, he was compelled to do so due to the violation of the “unwritten contract between the royals and the public.” As per tradition, Harry and Meghan posed with Archie in front of the Portland Hospital in London where he was born. The Sussexes stated, “Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family.” Since then, very few photos of Archie have been made public.

The same has been true for Lilibet, Harry and Meghan’s daughter who was born in the United States. But things changed when a six-episode Netflix documentary about Harry and Meghan was broadcast. In the first episode of the documentary, the Sussexes offered the world an intimate view of their family life at their home in Montecito, California, which had previously been described as highly secure, like “Fort Knox.”

When Lilibet turned one, the Sussexes held a small picnic party at Frogmore Cottage, their former UK residence. Photos of the celebration were posted on social media. However, aside from these instances, the public has had limited access to seeing either Archie or Lilibet. That is, until recently when they were able to catch a glimpse of the young prince and princess.
